David Atkinson is an experienced practitioner, advisor, lecturer providing expertise and support to clients in the following:

His extensive practitioner and leader experience in industry enabled him to become an expert in the whole suite of procurement strategies, tools and techniques in a variety of roles, from Buyer in consumer goods (Black & Decker), to Procurement Director/CPO in automotive (Automotive Products) and aerospace (Rolls Royce and Lucas Industries).
His clients are typically large, international organisations from a broad range of sectors, including Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Travel, Oil & Gas, Government Procurement, Mail and Logistics, Aerospace, Transport, Facilities Management, Professional Services, amongst several others.
He has an MBA in Strategy & Procurement Management (with Distinction) from the University of Birmingham Business School (a programme on which he now lectures) and is an accredited trainer of the Harvard/M.I.T. Program on Negotiation.
He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (FCIPS), serving as a Board member for 3 years, and a past judge on the CIPS Awards panel.
